Axis Z problems

Hi everyone

I’m having an issue with my Zortrax M200 and I’d really appreciate your help.

The Z axis seems to be working fine — the bed moves up smoothly — but during auto calibration or when starting a print, the bed doesn’t stop and keeps going up until it hits the extruder.

Here’s what I’ve checked so far:

  • The lead screw rotates properly (not stuck)
  • Z axis movement is smooth and normal
  • I suspect it might be the bed detection sensor (Z sensor), since it doesn’t seem to detect the limit

Has anyone experienced something similar?
Could this be an inductive sensor issue or maybe a calibration/firmware problem?

Thanks in advance :raised_hands:

Why did you use chatgtp for this? Anyway if printer does not detect when the bed touches the extruder, then the mentioned sensor is faulty. Since sensor detects(senses)stuff, but for you it does not
