I'm also an ABS rebel

Okay, so I printed this little Aztec guy (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:205869) on the Zortrax with White ZABS and in Orange Octave using the new .14 layer heights and 20% support. White is really hard to photograph. I was VERY surprised that the Octave Orange’s (not high temp) support wasn’t that hard to remove and was able to remove the raft cleanly. It was more difficult, but not crazy…and it only left a couple of marks that would be easy to clean up.

soooooo big pictures… resize.

looks good, though.

I’m assuming you mean file size…done.

 thx

that would be interesting to have the same with the ZABS orange

Yeah, that’s a good idea…I have some ZABS orange ready to go.

Yes, I too have been pleasantly surprised by the print quality using 3rd-party filaments that usually require a lower temperature in order to print well. Just goes to show how important machine precision and software are.
