I think this is pretty typical of all FDM machines. I call it the mushroom effect. I’ve seen it to a lesser degree even on pro machines with dissolvable support.

What I have seen, SSYS machines do nice spheres.
Will collect those prints somewhere.
But those Ztx prints looks better than printed with UP!

Great photos, I think the mojo is best. Clearly the UP is too hot, and probably not enough support either. There is a mojo at the local Fablab, I might get them to print the part for me.
I had the chance to compare Zortrax print quality against almost all stratasys models. We were sending our model to the stratasys rep and he brought it printed on uprint, Dimension, Fortus, and Objet. And I brought the same model printed on my Zortrax, of course.
Unfortunately I can’t show pics because it’s work related, but I can tell you this… The Zortrax print looked as good as the ones from uprint and Dimension, the Fortus was a tad better because he had a very small res (which the Zortrax surely can do later). The Objet is of course another league (the price as well)
Surprisingly…the uprint/dimension prints even had slight warping on the flat bottoms…only a bit less than the Zortrax. The rep said they may have been removed too early from the heat bed.
One thing we mutually did not like about the Zortrax print was the thin wall thickness on the bottom of supported areas. It’s basically “see through” and made the part nonfunctional (sealing area for pneumatic connector). The stratasys printers had more wall thickness there and it was airtight enough to work…
But this could be easily solved via software (ability to choose how many layers on top and bottom).
