Printing with damage area

I made a print of a vase (height 180mm) http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40087

I used red Z-ULTRAT, layer 0.19, normal speed but in a specific area came very damaged (external mesh ruined and almost detached, but underneath is quite well done! :( )

The strange thing is that the print is quite perfect except for that area (in photo don’t see because the issue is on the right side in the picture you can see a small sample of the “problem” just under half the vase)

What could it be? could be the model with problems? I’ve already thrown 26 hours of printing and filament and I would not be repeated!

Tips or can you tell me where am I wrong?

Thanks all!

:(

Several of us see surface issues with the ultrat profile recently (burns and ugly surface areas)

Z-ABS profile is OK. Zortrax team has acknowledged it and is working on a fix.

Thanks Andre…

I hope Zortrax team solve soon … I have to print (very large) camera filters and I specifically ordered the new colors (black and gray) ultrat … when do you think will be fix?

look here... it may be fixed next week...

I hope this fix for the burns will also address the surface issues.

this is the result I was talking about … I tried to polish it but nothing to do!

Terrible!

Looks very much like the "gaps" issue I reported in another thread.

This model looks as bad design for 3D printing

First: .stl contain few errors also discussed there: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40087/#comments

Second: Walls do not create any static space sometimes it is more thick sometimes more thin resulting with no place for any real infill.

This is good model for incoming material as Z-GLASS which is shiny as PLA and then can hide literally anything bad but overall this model is nothing good for Z-ABS\Z-ULTRAT.

Just find any other vase which is modeled with walls thick enough to leave space for infill.

Best Regards

Martin, when can we expect New materials? Next year? all of them?

Can I send you a PM with some issues I have with some models?

ok thanks but what I would understand because I have to make prints of important dimensions with ULTRAT if soon there will be an update or not ...
