Raft removal with Z-HIPS

Is anybody else having problems with raft removal from Z-HIPS printed objects?

I've printed both large and small objects with it and the raft is almost impossible to remove and the harder you try, the closer you get to a nasty gouge in your finger from the scraper or X-acto knife.

It does seem to stick to the raft quite well.. Too well..

Yep, me too,

compared to Ultrat, Ultrat is just great for removing raft,

but HIPS - as a material type - has this 'something' when i look at it while printing.. .:)

So I'm not alone; that's better than nothing :mellow: .  

Hopefully Zortrax will have a fix in a future update.  I'm still having warp problems with ABS on very large prints with long print times, say 15+ hrs per print.  With the tips here the ABS warping is much better, but the it takes several hours into a print before you have any assurance that it will be warp-free.
