Bad alligment print

Hi,

After firmware update to 2.02 i have noticed bad nozzle alignment print, and clicking sound only from extruder A.
Can You help me with this problem?

Hi,

Have you tried installing some previous firmware version in order to confirm this is a hardware-related issue?

Please, perform the hotend switch calibration and make sure the hotends are being switched properly. You can also do the extruder maintenance.

Dear Karolina!
My problem is absolutly same with my M300 dual. Only the extruder A Makes the clicking voice. And the printing not completed. When I turn on the material Jam sensor, The machine can’t detect the filament. Now I know when the clicking voice is came from the stepper motor: It pull back the filament form the extrusion head. How can I repair the Machine? What’s parts I need to change ? I made The Last fimeware update,(2.4.2) And the extruder Maintenance now, but my problem can’t solved.Thnaks!

Dear Gábor,

How many hours has the printer done so far? What materials are you printing with? Please note that either the nozzle or hotend module may need replacement (consumable parts).

While doing the maintenance - did you notice whether material residues accumulated in some specific place?

Best regards,
Karolina

Dear Karolina!
I solved the problem now, The hot end module don’t need to change, need to clean all. That’s not an easy process, Need to diasassembly all parts, and need to clean It all. When I make it next time I can take some pictures about this for you. But wihtout pictures, I can sad it to you. There are an element in the hot end , witch is connect the nozzle and the PTFE pipe 4/2 mm. In this element’s inner hole where the PTFE pipe’s bottom connecting, stay some material under the PTFE pipe, and this is blocking the filament. Difficult to remove the materials from there,
Our machine now have 1700 work hours and this hot end module is only the second. I disassembled now the first, the problem was same. We use PetG, ABS, PC, and some times Pa, Pa with glass ,or carbon. The machine don’t like the fibered materials, because the table is limited in approximetly 100 degrees (deformations), and the longer fibers always blocking the nozzles,or the nozzle’s 0,4 diameter will be larger.
I saw another problem, In the inner holes where you install the of the Thermocuple, and the heat sensor, I found some “resin” what is causes when you print PETG. That “resin” need to clean it all. After the thermal conductivities will be factorial. If the holder screws thighten for trou. Some times it’s untight. by the heat and cool process. When It’s cause, the thermal conductivities makes heat problems.
Best regards! Gábor

Dear Gábor,

Thank you for the update and feedback. I am glad to hear you managed to clean the whole hotend module. However, as your printer has already done 1700 hours, it is worth considering purchasing a new module to have it at hand, as it is difficult to tell how long the component you have cleaned will last (especially that you noticed some substance near the thermocouple/heat sensor). Nevertheless, I am glad the machine is operational again.

Best regards,
Karolina
