bed problem

I beg to differ I use the purple elmers school glue all the time and I get nothing but amazing results, never had lift with it.

Possibly different mixes in different countries. We don't have the purple stuff here in Australia.

Ahh that would make sense.

This stuff works extremely well I love it. If you can find it or get it for cheap you should try it

Has anyone tried hairspray ?

I hate hairspray on printers. Stinks up the shop, sticky overspray all over the printer mechanism causing god knows what problems, and difficult to clean up. Glue stick is perfect: it works great, has no overspray, no odor, and easy cleanup by scraping off and/or wiping with damp paper towel.

Zortrax now ships their print-platforms with "Z-Juice" applied, which seems to just be an Acetone/ABS slurry.

I've been using the same Acetone/ABS slurry for large prints without any raft-lifting issues for a while now.

Today I am printing a part that I think is most-prone to warping, and haven't experienced any such issues in the last 12 hours.

And that's printed on the stock bed w/ "Z-Juice".

I have tried several stick glues, among them Pelikan and Pritt sticks. Both brands sell in Europe so I think this info could be useful to others.

Pritt is not usable on printing, The parts does not stick uniformly to the surface and it is difficult to apply an uniform layer.

Pelikan Pelifix Gluestick is nice, It can be applied easily on the surface and keeps the parts attached. Can be washed out with water.

I have tried other brands, but, afaik, these are sold just on my country so I would not comment on them.

I use UHU Stic glue. You can buy it in stores with school supplies here.

I tried hairspray but it was ineffective.

Some hairsprays do not work. In Spain the leader is one called Nelly. It is cheap, strong and easy to clean.

I tried the method (http://forum.zortrax.com/index.php?/topic/483-tips-tricks-warping-issue-solution/ )  it works very well. between two print a clean cloth dampened "milk" and it fits even sometimes it sticks too

The "Z-Liquid" that new printer beds now come coated with is ridiculously strong - too much for me, it's very difficult to get the raft off of the perfboard. I prefer glue stick since it's a lot easier to remove prints. But if you really want your prints to stick hard, this seems to be the way.

method acetone + z-abs, excellent !!!

finally the mold with the material always on the plate !

thanks

NB … in test glue stick " Mitama.biz ", … Is liquid glue, at the time is ok
