Big bug with 0.0.8 ?

I had the 0.0.7 firmware before update : no problem with extruder or bed.

I updated my M200 (V1) with firmware 0.08 (bad idea for me) : the bed no longer heats (and no blue light under plate).

I return with 0.0.7: Same problem with bed (but blue light blinks for some seconds, then cut off. And blink, and stop, again and again. And no heat bed, just lukewarm.

So i try to return with 0.0.6 : blue light ok, platform heat up 100%, extruder heat up 100%, and… see picture please…

Same with 0.0.5

For the moment, i can’t print because no way to have a heat bed.

How to do for return with 0.0.6 please ?

Thx

Maybe give 0.0.8 another try. There are situations when the printer is still hot and is switched off that on switching it on again any heating only occurs after it cooled down.

Thank you Z-Renegade, i just tried but without success.

I start M200 => blue light appears and bed start heating.

print launch 15 min later => extruder heat 100%, no message for heating bed but blue light is on and bed is hot, then start printing and immediately blue light disappears and bed cooled.

Second test,

i start M200 and launch print immediately => extruder heat 100%, no message for bed, no blue light, print start on lukewarm bed.

Same results with 0.0.7 now, but before the 0.0.8 update it was ok.

Any idea ?

Yup, if 0.0.8 had a big problem one would see more complaints here, that way it is most probably your printer or what you feed him for the update.

I would try downloading the firmware again to a local disk (!) and copy it on a newly formatted (different) sd card (not more than 2GB) and try again with that.

Virgo, you are probably using Z-Glass profile, it requires at least 0.0.7 version of Z-Firmware, therefore you are getting this message. Low bed temperature is also desired.

Virgo, my last post based on misunderstanding your previous post.

I thought you were not succesful flashing 0.0.8 firmware.

But on reading again it looks that youre probably on 0.0.8 now and complain about printing temps.

Of course then the post from m4cias is the better answer and you could check if getting back the old behavior by slicing the model again with a pre 1.2 Z-Suite.

Z-Renegade, yes I suppose that my English is not still at the top (it is even a fact !). In any event, your help is useful and very appreciated. Thanks.

Macias, thank you, it was the good way. So I made some tries :

I sliced the part (big flat part) with 1.1.0 and 0.0.6 firmware : platform heat 100%, no problem with Z-glass. Print ok, no warp.

Same part sliced with 1.1.0 and 0.0.7 : platform heat 100%, no problem with Z-glass. Print ok, no warp.

Same part sliced with 1.1.0 and 0.0.8 : platform heat 100%, no problem with Z-glass. Print ok, no warp.

Same part sliced with 1.2.0 and 0.0.6 : platform heat 100% (blue light moment’s break), print don’t start (logically !)

Same part sliced with 1.2.0 and 0.0.7 : no message “heating platform” (and no blue light), just heating extruder and start print on lukewarm bed (maybe 50°C)

Result : raft stick but print warp

Same part sliced with 1.2.0 and 0.0.8 : no message “heating platform” (but blue light blinks, then breaks off, then blinks - with intensity’s variations of the blue light), just heating extruder and start print on lukewarm bed (under 40°, maybe 35°C)

Result : raft don’t stick to the bed.

So, firmware 0.0.8 Is not involved. The rise in temperature of the bed is much faster and more regular than with 0.0.6. And the title of this thread is not good  the firmware is not buggy, only Z-suite 1.2.0 > 1.2.2 are not optimized for Z-glass.

I have been using nothing but z-glass for the last few weeks with out a problem with either z-suite 1.2.2 or firmware 0.0.8 , every print has been fine and I have been printing almost non stop

Maybe you print only little parts ? I have warping problems with big flat models since zsuite 1.2 with zglass. Don’t you notice any bed’s temperature drop ?
