Building De-layering

Hi Guys

I’m trying to print a tall building, but it is presenting multiple de-layering on the unsuperted sides. Should I turn of the fans?

I’m also getting some burning (dark abs degradated I think) spots in the prints. Maybe too high temperature for a 2600 meters over sea level city?

Any Idea on how to improve this?

Yes disabling of fan cooler will help just in current release seems that disabling of it don’t working and it is always on, also for very big models it is good idea to use “LIGHT” or “MEDIUM” infill type.

Best Regards

I noticed a little ‘burning’ on a white part I created too but it wasn’t much. I assume it was caused by the head moving slower in that area. Since it was on the outside I could just scrape it off though.

I’ve had that a little on the raft… Never the part though…

Is it cold in the place here are you using your printer? It happened to me with a large model I was working on, the ambient temperature descended below 15 degrees C and I noticed that started to happen. I am building an acrylic enclosure to reduce the impact of the weather in the quality of the prints. I recommend you to do the same or at least change the place where your printer is working.

Yes 15C is too less as environment temperature, 21C or more is the best and 27+ is a perfect fail safe temperature (summer time).

Temporarily you could try putting cardboard panels or something around when you print but Zortrax is working on making their own panels.
