Changes Between 1.7.1 and 1.7.2

The Change Log is incomplete and doesn't list all versions. Anyone know what the differences are between 1.7.1 and 1.7.2?

I think only  top layers and thin walls quality  improvements

see picture

That is the same list that accompanied 1.7.1 I think.

Only tops and thin walls have been fixed, thats all.

Except maybe small HIPS 0,14 support removal fixes.

I'm seeing a couple of other things I never noticed before, but maybe they were already there:

  1. You can now load a zcode file for viewing without disturbing any STLs loaded in the slicing window. Close the zcode preview by clicking "Back" and your STLs are still there. Very handy.
  2. There is a filename display at the bottom of the window to the left of the printing parameters, that displays the name of any selected STL on the build plate. So if you have a bunch of different models this will tell you which one is selected.

Nice to see attention being paid to details like this, which seem minor but make a difference in the overall user experience.

I can no longer find the option to set the number of top and bottom layers in 1.7.2 was this intentionally removed?

Yes, bottoms will be back later today (hotfix 1.7.2.1)

May I ask what is meant by fixing thin walls?

+1

Photos from tests by Z would be appreciated.

Or is that such a big secret?

;)
