Turns out that the MB fan needed only some lube to get back to silent.
Since one doesn't change a Minebea (PSU) fan, they are good fans and the whining was not its fault anyway, I decided to make room for the air intake. A Dremel solved it in 2 minutes and now the whole printer is very silent.
I do not recommend messing with the PSU fan!
