Clicking noise

try also this http://support.zortrax.com/eliminating-axis-problems/

I mean it prints but the noises I know are not good. Also I use this for my business so I really can’t be with out it. Right now. :frowning:

I have tryed the axis problems it better little noises some times. But it’s printing so gonna leave it till something I guess breaks. Zortrax wants a video but don’t want to send them the one i posted here because that sound stopped now. Not a well build printer I can say that. My Flashforge never had problems like this!!

hello, I'll tell you my experience, waiting for printing to finish ..

I used the printer without problems, everything worked properly, nesusn noise, perfect prints.
After it has been cleaned and lubricated, I noticed that the straps were slow, and I held out, okay, perfect prints.

After several prints, I can not tell how many hours, I noticed the noise (click) but nevertheless, the prints were always excellent; But I was not satisfied by the noise that was not there before.

Yesterday I decided to check also all screws and fasteners, all the mechanical parts, before I loose, both bars, the straps, I cleaned everything and slowly I made tuttle screws, moving to the extruder to see if the noise disappeared, it was clear that is due to some misalignment.

Eventually I noticed ch econ belts (front under the led, and that on the opposite side) loose the noise disappeared, probably I had too tense, and that procured the clicking.

Try to loosen you, too, registers are two Allen screws from 1 mm, are positioned on the rails (black aluminum block, facing down).

Try to see what happens, and let us know.

bye

Ok thanks for the info. I think I got a lemon here. I can’t even pass the calibration now. I hate this printer

People!!! Stop using the cal…it’s not worth it. Just use a credit card and be done with it.

No I can’t stand the paper thing. That’s how my other printer is and it have to play around with it so much. The cal worked great when I got this printer now it takes me 30 mins to get it to pass. Look I got this printer for that feature.

please check your email nick, I need some info from you.

Credit card?

I use my calibration and it works perfectly. Everything is 0 except the center is I think 0.3 last time I checked it. Which I think the new V2 perf board would fix that, just hadn't got around to ordering it.

Ya thats

ya a credit card lol NOT something i would use. Calibration worked great until now i finely got it after 40 mins of trying! Im sending printer back to where i got it they are gonna check it out.

The autocalibration routine seems to work pretty well for me once I figure out how the elevation adjusting screws work and how their heads tend to get fouled in the perf board holes.  At the least it is a quick way to check calibration.

Lol…I’m not using a credit card either. It was just the first thing that popped in my mind. I just calibrate it by eye (air gap) and sometimes just by observing the first layer… on the go.

Agree. With rafts, especially the ones generated by ZSuite (first raft layer is really a big one :) ), you do not need to have perfect calibration. You just have to take care of nozzle must not too close from bed (extruder would have difficulties to extruder, so clicking sounds) and not too far, because material won't go inside the small holes, so the raft would not stick enough to it.

Btw, I do not have any issue with auto-cal with a clean build plate…

... because bed seems pushed up by material from previous prints that go threw the holes; that especialy true for center, which is probably the most used part of it. Just cleaning it time to time is enough for me, and cal error goes from 0.5 to 0.1 I decide to do it when my ears tell me to ;),  clicking noise is good indicator !

You just have to remove the debris underneath the board and scrape the backside…then the 0.3 will probably disappear.
