Current on heated bed contacts

There are 2x24v and 2x12v pins on the heated bed, does anyone know the current these draw?

Best info I can get is that the bed connector pins/sockets are rated for 10A so will this or below. I will eventually measure with a multimeter but its just a PITA to add it to the circuit.

Measure the heater resistance and divide that into 24V, that will give you peak current.

Ah perfect, cheers Julia.

Although it looks like both 24v pins attach to the same path on the heater, so it is actually 48v across both?

No, the two "24V" pins are connected together to combine their current ratings; same with the two "GND" pins and the two "12V" pins. You want to measure from either of the 24V pins to either of the GND pins. One of the beds I have here measures about 3 - 3.3Ω, which translates to 7 or 8A. That will be shared, so each contact of the connector will carry around 4A maximum.

Product idea "Z-magnetiConnect" kit: unified magnetic connector for heated bed and nozzle contact detection.

Thanks Julia, saved me a job!

Pretty close to what I'm asking these questions for.

Pogo pins have pretty limited current, but if it's under 5A they thats perfectly doable.
