defects after extruder maintenance

Hi, after something like 2950h of printing (or even more considering that on the first firmwares the clock was not present) i've decided to do some maintenance and buy a brand new hot end v2, thermocouple, heating cartidge and the perforated plate.

After calibrating the platform i run some prints but i'm finding some defects never seen before, seems like on the leading edge some material is missing, like there's some bubble.. What i did wrong? i wasn't experiencig this kind of issue with the old extruder and i continued to use the same spool of material (genuine z-abs)

thanks

Hi, Racing_34.

Which Z-SUITE version did you use for slicing?

Were you using Hotend v1 before installing the new one?

You can send me the file for checking as well.

Will be curious to hear the results of this. Did you change versions of ZSuite at the same time as well?

hi, i'm using z suite 2.6.0.0,but the gcode was the same i used before witout any issues..

I'm pretty sure that even the old hot end was the v2

Thank you for the information.

In that case, I recommend that you check if all the cables are properly connected to the extruder PCB and make sure that the heater&thermocouple is properly installed in the hotend (just as in this manual: https://support.zortrax.com/thermocoupler-and-heater-replacement/).

I suggest that you carry out the axes maintenance as well: https://support.zortrax.com/axes-maintenance-m200/.

Let me know if these actions improve the situation.

And by the way, consider upgrading your Z-SUITE to 2.6.1 version. We've improved the overall slicer performance and implemented some useful tools: https://support.zortrax.com/downloads/software/:)
