I personally prefer SketchUp in design as it is super simple and easy.

Below are some personal tips for those SketchUp-ers :

  1. Always clean up your model (using CleanUp plugin)

  2. Check if the model is Solid Group (it is easy, check with Entity Information)

  3. Use plugins to enhance your modelling workflow.

  4. Always design in millimetre.
