Does anyone know what these holes are for?

I just noticed two extra holes on the back of my printer, right above the spool (See Photo)

First: Are these holes empty on everyone else's printer, or am I missing more hardware?

Second: Anyone know what they're for? They are countersunk, so the screw would come in from the back, towards the print chamber.

I have them on mine too.. I think they are for weight reduction.. :D
