Extruder temperature too high

Hello all, I get the message above when printing. The prints start OK and stop after a while. Been trying to print the same piece, same things happened now 3 times. It never fails at the same place. Any ideas, perhaps the thermocouple in the extruder is failing?

Best regards

John

I had some "extruder temperature too low" errors recently when using auto fan and dual fans - reducing the fan setting solved it. A "too high" error could be caused by a cable issue.

Thanks Julia, I'll order a new cable and see if that solves it.

solves all duel fan problems...

I removed the flatcable from the head and inserted it again, now everything works. Will still get a new cable, Justin Case.

Hi Motordude,

In case of future problems with heating the extruder, please measure the resistance on the heater. It should amount around 15-16 Ohms when the part is cooled down to room temperature (around 20 degrees Celsius).
