Fan speed

Hello all, when I adjust the fan speed in Z-suite, it seems to me that nothing happens. The fan at the hot end runs at all times. When setting the fan speed to 0% shouldn't the fan stop running, or is it just slowing down? By looking at the fan I think it is running on full RPM no matter the speed settings in Z-suite.

Thanks

Fan speed is for lower fan. Upper fan you can't adjust.

Hi,

Just to be sure, AFAIK, there are 2 fans. The one at the top aims at cooling the hotend, so it is always running. The bottom one aims at cooling your part during print operation, and this is this one you can control in Z-Suite.

Do you mean bottom fan is always on even when switched off from Z-Suite ?

Laurent

EDIT: Trhuster has been faster than I, sorry for double answer.

Thanks for rapid response! OK, I thought the one on top also had something to do with the cooling of the part.

Hey there motordude

Speed of the fan while loading raft is always stable. Manual control of the fan is only beeing turned on while printing the model. You've got two fans in the extruder - the upper one cools the extruder, and it's always on. The bottom one is cooling the print, as Laurent04fr allready noticed. We recommend leaving the auto option on in this case.

Best,

Chris
