M200 v03 (purchased on 07-11-2014) the firmware update does not allow printing.
Updating the firmware from the original version (1.0.3) to the latest available 1.3.1 does not allow printing. All the other functions work correctly but when I launch the print of a model the printer pauses. If I resume the print it repeats the platform movement sequence and then returns to pause again. If I choose to interrupt the printing the platform is lowered without however stopping at the lowest point of the z position and continues forcing the motor.
Is there a solution?
Hi Lambertopr
I have an M200 V04 and it’s working ok with firmware 1.3.1.
Have you tried to download previous version and install it?
Hi Lucio,
thanks for reply…
yes, I tried the ones available on the Zortrax website, so I tried 1.2.0, 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 in order. I would be curious to try an older one but I can’t find them. I used the original Zortrax SD card which I also reformatted (Ex-FAT 32) but to no avail.
So, if everything works ok (platform calibration, load or unload material, heating platform and extruder) but not printing, first thing I would try is to use a different SD and print an old program that I know was working before.
Could be that you downloaded last zortrax program and making programs with wrong printer settings? (i.e. M200 Plus)
Hi @lambertopr
The M200 printer does not support exFAT filesystem, you have to format your SD card to FAT32 in order to use it with this device in any capacity (loading zcodes or updating firmware).
Please let us know which version of Z-Suite you’re using and the operating system you’re on.
Also, check your DMs
With Regards,
Damian
Good morning Damian,
in reality the cards are formatted FAT32 I made a mistake in writing.
I tried the Zortrax SD, a 4GB Sandisk and even a 16GB.
With firmware 1.0.3. I can print with all three types of cards. Not the same if I try newer firmwares. My machine is an M200 v03 on which I have just replaced the extruder PCB with the v02 one, the hotend with the Zortrax v02 one, the heater and the thermocouple.
I work on Apple MBP M3 16" and macOS Sonoma 14.5 operating system. I prepare the models with your Z-Suite 2.32. I also tried various combinations of previous Z-Suite versions and the three firmwares available on Zortrax site. Unfortunately without results.
With firmware 1.0.3. This all works with any version of Z-Suite up to 2.32.
Could you make versions older than 1.2.0 available to me, just to try?
One more question - was the printer able to print at least raft, or just pauses outright?
Also, have you tried printing other models?
Hi Damian,
the printer has never stopped during a print. The problem concerns the firmware: 1.2.0, 1.3.0 or 1.3.1. When I do the update. With any of the three firmwares all the functions except printing work regularly. With firmware 1.2.0, 1.3.0 or 1.3.1 when I launch a print of a model the printer immediately pauses. It moves the platform as if it had to offset the z but then stops without printing anything. If I then choose the option to abort the print from the options menu the platform descends without stopping to the lower level and forces the Z motor. I hope I have clarified the problem well. As already written I would be curious to try a firmware prior to 1.2.0. Is it possible?
