Forum is reporting as "Deceptive Site"

Not sure whats happening, but when i try to visit this forum in Google Chrome on a Windows 7 PC i get the following message...

Deceptive site ahead

Attackers on forum.zortrax.com may trick you into doing something dangerous like installing software or revealing your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers or credit cards).

would someone from Zortrax care to comment on this?

Yeh same here, at first i thought it would sort itself out soon, but soon has past and its annoying now.

It doesn't happen to me with Chrome on Mac, but I know a lot of other people who have this issue for some time now.

I've got the same problem with Mac Safari, I solve this changing the preferences on Safari ;)

Idem for me.... McAfee with Firefox under win 10 and safari under MacOSX

I'm facing the same problem. My internet provider blocked this forum and I have to use proxies to access it now.

The reason is that they either do not have a wildcard SSL certificate for the zortrax.com domain or single domain cert for forum.zortrax.com anymore and because of that activated the single domain cert for www.zortrax.com wich caused that warning. Or they just do not know what they do because their webadmin is gone.

Right now they just removed SSL, means we enter our login data on an insecure from wich any proxy or firewall you go thru could log.

Come on Zortrax, sort out the problem, it is difficult for me to recommend your products to colleagues and co-workers when you are not even able to provide us with a secure forum. It reflects badly on your brand, if you let security slip on your forum, what compromises are you making with your hardware, firmware or other software

is this just the tip of the iceberg? or a temporary blip?

Hi nizzy,

The forum runs without SSL. If using the URL with https and start to sign in the browser warns about an unsecure form (and the browser is correct on doing that).

Right mate, but it is normal. If you will open any website without SSL certificate browser will warn you about an unsecure connection. We had other kind of problem, because forum url was added to spamlist websites and browsers warns you before visiting forum.zortrax.com. We resolved this issue.

I'm still having this problem

Well I am aware of that. What I was talking about was that there is no SSL activated right now and this makes any form login/registration insecure (know you got that too).

At the time I saw the first browser warnings (think it was last week) I checked the cert and if I remind that correct, the forum had the main sites cert and that was the reason for my earlier post. I even cannot tell if there was SSL before (and that www.zortrax.com cert popped up intermediate only), my post was just about that there should be SSL activated.

I'm still having this problem

If it's about no SSL activated, me too.

If it is about the malicious site warning, this make need some time to go away after they cleared it because not every ISP updates such lists very often (can take 24+ hours).

Why does Zortrax not have an SSL certificate? I am a sole trader on a very tight budget, with a website that SSL on every page that has a form... it costs peanuts... and gives customers some confidence in the quality of the service being provided.....

It's kind of hard to report the problem here if our browser and/or security software won't let us visit the site.  I reported the problem a week ago or so through the Zortrax Contact web form, but never heard anything back.  As TimBob says, these sorts of problems don't give your potential customers much confidence, especially when it takes many days to get them fixed.

I know of at least one potential industrial buyer who has decided to go with a different make of machine (they were looking at multiple units) their reason was mostly based on them not being able to view the forum safely,

Using Norton with Firefox, Windows 7.. Never a problem.. I'm going to need TimBob's password.. lol

Using Opera with no issues or warnings.

Haven't been surfing a bit of porn recently, Timbob old mate?

Maybe clear your history and try again?

as there is no SSL, I am sure your local 5 year old will be able to help with that...
