I love the smoothness of the sides of my prints with .09, but the bottom and top is to be desired.
What do you use to get the sides (bottom) smooth? And does it really work or does it just mask?
I was thinking of light sanding and a little acetone but I have tried that before and either I am not spending enough time with it or it isn't that proper.
For me it was only acetone bath but I really wanted to keep the look of the seat on this one like it is.
If this was my job, I would split the model up into separate parts and print each part to get the best surface finish. Then bond the parts back together. The printing and modelling may take a little longer, but you'll spend less time finishing.
A heat gun is good at making the bottom layer look better (if it is flat) but you have to be careful because it can cause small parts to warp if you get it too hot.

Yeah they kinda were in a rush and now I'm pressing the gun as their file didn't have the right measurements. Even after I asked to verify the measurements. So now I am printing a larger model and under the gun for time. Had to take the infill to medium so they will print in time.
I hate it when people don't answer my questions. This is twice now I asked for verification on size and no response and then they show up for the product and its the wrong size. If only they took a second to tell me the correct size rather than thinking they got it right on the CAD.
Next time I won't be doing anything until I get a response, no matter if it goes past the deadline. Didn't even know there was a deadline until today when I got the order yesterday. I mean c'mon
