I always download the files. I never just let it update.. That way you have a back log..
That's great practice, but doesn't scale well because:
- it puts the burden of keeping file-logs on every customer instead of simply having the source keep the log.
- newcomers must start their own log at whatever beta software happens to be around when they receive their printers.
Putting files in a folder on my computer is not rocket science..I just look in my download folder.. No burden at all. I hope you never have to download attachments from email.. That would just ruin everything.. I don't expect other people to take care of me all the time.. I have learned over the years that if you want to keep something you save it.. If someone really needs an old file I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to help out..

Josh - to my mind it is just common sense to archive any software that is important to my use. One never knows when you might need it when the company server is down, your own ISP is having problems or any number of other issues. Hard disks are cheap enough these days that cost is not an issue. That said, it would be nice if Zortrax maintained a page with version downloads and I believe that they have agreed to do so in another post.

Having a company based back log for software, especially one with short development cycles, is pretty standard IMHO.
The only reason I can think of not to have it, would be the potential confusion of users.
This problem could be solved by “hiding” the link under an address like www.zortrax.com/backlogs, which would not be accessibly from the website menus but only by typing in the direct link…
I'm getting crashes too. Slicing stops at between 3 and 18%, asks if i want to view the Z-Code, shows an empty build platform, then crashes when I go back to the model. It doesn't happen with every file I load, but it's keeping me from printing something I'd really like to print right now.
Opened the file in Meshmixer, exported as an OBJ, and it works fine in Z-SUITE now. Glad I can finally print again, annoyed with buggy closed-source software.
Are you Running Windows XP by chance? What are computer specs?

Then you want say that if this is open source then we can fix it by our self coding skill ? Just send your files to Zortrax support and it will be fixed at next release I done this long time ago with my .stl files and then it was fixed.
No, I'm saying that life would be better if Zortrax just used g-code like everyone else so we could draw on the collective knowledge of the gigantic open-source community instead of being locked into proprietary beta software that doesn't even let you print an object off-center.Then you want say that if this is open source then we can fix it by our self coding skill ? Just send your files to Zortrax support and it will be fixed at next release I done this long time ago with my .stl files and then it was fixed.
And the model in question is a scan of my 7-year-old’s head. I’m not huge on Internet privacy, but I figure I should probably draw the line at publishing the details of my son’s face online.

Windows 8.1. I don’t have my specs memorized, but I use a fairly high-end laptop that’s always handled Z-Suite just fine.
Hellou.
So my first problem is here. In Z-Suite v.0095 stop generating path at 22%, with support lite at 25% and without support it comes to end. Support is 20deg.
Of course this model need support to print. Whats wrong?
PC spec:
i7 3930K, 64GB RAM, Win 7 64bit.
My model.

First of all.. Did you save this as mm?? It opens in Z-Suite as about 10mm across.
I scaled it up 10x because I assume this this was saved in cm.. Mine stopped on 24% with 20 degree support. Bumped it up to 30 with support lite at.14 layer height and it finished.. Try 30..

No, and thats another fail. I work in 3ds max with cm units. Everyone model I have to scale 10x. Why Z-Suite do not understand unit conversion?

No any 3d printer understand this kind of conversion the unit interpretation for 3d printers is mm not cm I checked your file with SSYS software and result is same
