hollow object

Hi folks,

I made a object in sketchup 2014 and its hollow does anyone knows how i can fill it into a solid object

with sketchup or another softprog

You should give it some thickness. Solidworks does this well. I'm sure other tools also have this feature. By the way, are you doing surface modeling?

If you are looking for good free software, try Designspark Mechanical. It's a scaled down full feature version of Spaceclaim.. Way better than Sketchup.. IMO

I use SketchUp 15  but I don't think SketchUp makes a true solid,  it will work for 3D printing fine  but to use the file with a mill

I think your out of luck what are you going to do with the file?

A bit late for your needs but someone else might benefit.

I use Meshmixer to make an object hollow or solid. 

For you case simply go to Edit -> Make Solid 

Works perfectly every time. Simple and quick.
