I print almost exclusively PETG and my printer is printing about 90% of the time.
Every 3 or 4 months my prints start to fail with the extruder blocked. It seems the only cure is a new complete hotted. Is this correct?

Hello Paul,
The approximate lifespan of the hotend is 400 printing hours (M200 Plus maintenance guide).
Still, please note that Z-PETG is a specific, dense, heat sensitive material - that is why it can clog the hotend faster. So while facing problems with proper extrusion - yes, it is recommended to replace the hotend. Over here you will find our tips for printing Z-PETG/Z-GLASS.
