How to tell my hotend version?

Hi

I got my printer in December and the sellers told me that it comes with v2 hot end and heated bed, but I need to make sure of that since I'm planning on getting PETG filament. That is why I need a way to know the version that I have installed in my printer. Any help in that regard is appreciated

post a photo of your hot end

ps. is your platform v2 ?

In the main menu you can check the HW version if you have 04 or 05 you have Hotend v2.

What is the HW version? if you mean the printer version I think it was V4. if this helps too my printer came with firmware version 1.0.0 installed. I can't get to my printer right now so I can't post a pivture of my hot end unfortunately.

Easiest way would be to show us photo, but if it looks like this : 

hotend3-248x248-248x248-448x395-228x228.

Its definitely Hotend V2.

The v2 hot end has a fat section as indicated by the arrow; the v1 does not have this.
