kaz's prints

Hi Guys, here are a few of my prints.

GoPro base:

GoPro with clip mount:

A few prints? I only see one!

It looks good though! How’s the fit?

The “botched” ball bearing - missing 1/2 ball - hidden

Own design  VHF mount for a boat

VHF Mount with support. Unfortunately a bit of de-lamination + and slightly warped base

I put it on the boat anyway - but will print a new one after Zortrax update. The print is really testing the size limits of the printer. It is 197 mm wide - max printable is 205 - but raft takes a lot of space.

Mounted on the boat:

Actually works fine  and is not as tight a fit as original - but close enough.

As I have said before - I’m not happy with flat surface fill - it is not steady enough. If you look at the VHF mount print - at the base - the top layer fill looks good in the start - but the more fill is done - the more visible the fill pattern becomes. I’ll see if I can snap a close-up. I kind of found a beta version 6.6.6 - and installed and the VHF mount is the first item done with v6.6.6.

Nice! Great prints Kaz, love the mount.

Great to see peeps printing some functional custom stuff.

Can’t wait to finish the designs that i have on the drawing board and get busy printing them.

Thanks  Mount was made to replace an old instrument. I bought the printer to make usable items myself  and my EE prototypes.

What is a 3D printer without printing a sheep…

The finished sheep:

Legs, ears and nose in black - printed without support

Body in white - printed with support

Body is not the best where it rests on support - but rest of print is great.

That is a funny print!

Yes but my 17 month old son like sheep… and things with engines and steering wheels… So sometimes when he plays with the sheep he will go “brrrmmm” and push it around like a car.

Looks nice! I remember seeing that featured on Thingiverse.

Print out many of them and you can count them if you ever have trouble sleeping…

haha - yes I could do that. but I NEVER have trouble sleeping. It is staying awake that is the issue…
