I’m new to the 3D printing world so I might not be using the right terms or whatnot so forgive me.
I have a Zortrax M300Plus and am printing with Zortrax Z-HIPS.
Every now and then when I’m printing the layers become offset and either print with this offset or I wind up with a large tangle of the plastic. I’m not sure where I would even start to diagnose or solve this problem. Any help would be great.

Check if the fans near the extruder are working correctly, go into the tools and test the lower and upper fans. After the first photo, it looks like burn marks. I had the same issue with the print, but the problem disappeared after replacing the lower fans.There may also be an adhesion issue, which could cause the print to detach, like in the second photo. Try using adhesive glues like Magigoo etc maybe it will help
