I have a roll of ivory Z-Ultrat, not sure when it was purchased but long ago. Last time I think I used it was 2018. I have parts printed at that time and they seem fine. But the filament, when I tried to load it now into the printer made cracking sounds and clogged the filament path. Tested in my hands, it was very brittle and broke like dry spagetti. I had to completely disassemble the filament path to clear the shards.
How long is the shelf life of this material, and should I be worried about printed parts disintegrating in just 5 years? The roll of filament was stored indoors, climate controlled, no UV, in a relatively dry environment (RH typically <40%).
