FYI: My M200 plus is back and running again!
What I did was that I updated the firmware with version 1.1.2 first.
Then I was able to further update to versions 1.2.0 → 1.3.0 → 1.4.0 → 1.5.0 → 2.0
What I noticed was that the unzipped version 1.1.2 file has a *.zar extension, while the subsequent firmware versions were all *.zar2 files. I wonder if that is the reason why it initially did not work out to update with version 1.2.0.
@DamianZortrax also mentioned that the fact that I was using a Mac to unzip files could be a potential source of error. So I unpacked all files on a Windows machine.
In hindsight I can’t really tell which was the factor to success in updating - windows vs starting with version 1.1.2 or maybe both? Anyways, thanks again to @DamianZortrax for providing me with the archived firmware versions and for the excellent support!
I’m glad I could help ya!
I’ll be looking into “unzipping on Mac” issue in the future. Let me know if you need any more help.
Hi, I need version 1.1.2 firmware for my Zortrax M200 Plus. Can you help me?
Thanks you a lot!
Hi, you can get that from here: Firmware - Zortrax
Hi!
I have M200plus which used to notify after power-on if new FW is available. It has FW 2.6.15 installed which was released almost a year ago. Since then FW 2.6.16, 2.6.17, 2.7.0 and 2.7.1 have been released but when I select “check for updates” from the menu it does not find the new FW releases and reports that latest FW is installed. I haven’t tried yet updating from USB yet. The printer has ethernet connection. Could it be some local network configuration issue (e.g. DNS resolve failure) although no error is reported?
I apologise for the misleading informations but it is intentional from our side.
This is just our cautious approach to new releases. We want to firstly let actively willing users to install new versions before we push it to everyone. When we will be sure that there is no problems with new releases we will mark the newest release as recommended and set it to update on printers.
