M200 Wont install 1.0.3

Hi.

The 1.0.3 wont install on my m200.

I use the orignal card, i did format it (Fat32) but still not working?

Please, try download it one more time and use 7-ZIP (http://7-zip.org/) to unpack, seems like your unpacked update.bin is corrupted.

I had exactly the same problem, using the original card. (update 1.0.2 -> 1.0.3)

The printer ignored the bin file.

I then used another (smaller) card and all was ok.

The printer has no problems reading models from the original card.

Could be an issue of FAT32 block size. Seems like the FAT32 implementation in several embedded devices is limited to smaller block sizes.

At least I had issues like that with FAT32 formatted USB sticks which were not working in some devices unless formatted explicitly with a 4k block size.

However newer versions of Windows don’t even offer a 4K block size in the default format dialog. You need specific USB stick formatter tools for this (like HPUSBDisk or something).

I would assume this works for SD cards as well.

some here, reading models is not a problem...

Have you tried any other SDHC Card (avoid sandisk ones)?

I got the same issue installing the new 1.0.3 Firmware. I downloaded and unpacked the file on the original SD-Card... but the printer just ignored it.

After 3 attempts, i decided to erase all the “Print-Project” files(Models) existing on my SD-Card and let only the Firmware file on the card. It went through, read it and installed it… All OK!!
