M300 Dual X and Y endstop error message

Hi,
Firmware update were parallel with our maintenance period (after 300h), so we clean, lubricate, check and run calibration functions. In result we have two problems:

  1. Axes verification test after 4-5 min of movement the extruder stops in corner where both endstop switch (X and Y) are placed then message error apears #5:5.
  2. We run the Hotend switch calibration procedure, in the second step of process where we need to positione the extruder close to the left bumper the extruder does not want tu start, strange nois are became from back of the printer like slipping belt on the teeth wheel. error message apears #6:5
We did the basic maitenance steps dedicated for every 300h of printing. Currently we have printed 336h

Any resolution? Having the same issues right now.

Hi @Tommar,

when exactly does the error occur? Are you able to start a print or run axes check procedure? Could you provide any video that illustrates the problem?

Most likely the printer requires the axes maintenance - check if the belts (long and short ones) are tight, ensure the rails are lubricated (silicone oil) etc. Also, it would be good to check the extruder guide rails with printable jigs (as suggested in the manual) as the rods might be misaligned, especially if you cannot smoothly move the extruder manually towards each corner of the housing.

You can send more information and videos via support form, so our agents will look further into the matter.

Best regards
Karolina

Hi again,

The error occurs when the extruder goes to the bottom left corner of the device whenever we try to set off the X/Y axes check procedure and sometimes when the extruder goes to the same corner upon heating for material loading. It usually hits the bottom case edge a few times and spits out an error, mostly in Y axis, sometimes in X axis.

We’ve undergone full axes maintenance procedure, changed lubrication and the extruder moves way smoother than before but optical sensors fail in said examples nonetheless.

We checked the guide rails with jigs and improved their alignment.

Now that we loaded material twice without any issues we started a big print, we’ll see how it goes although I don’t expect it to fail.

I’ll record a video tomorrow.

Thanks for taking interest in our case.

Hi,

We’ve been having the same issues even after axis maintenance. Once finished. we perform an axis check that causes the error below. The end stop doesn’t seem to work and before showing the error the motor tries to push the extruder 3 times and then the error pops up.

Is there any update on this matter? We’ve changed XY end-stops just in case these were faulty and causing the problem however it seems not…

The error code showing is #5.5

Thanks

We are having the same issue.
did you manage to resolve it ?

after doing axes maintenance, extruder is moving fine but when i try to do axes check.
it stops after few minutes and comes up with the error message that " axes check failed and need to carry out endstop x maintenance "

what is the solution for it ?

Was this ever resolved? We are having the same issue and about to purchase new end stop sensors but would like to know if there is another solution.
