M300 Spoolholder for M200

Hey Guys, i love to print big Models with my M200.

So in future i will order more Z-Hips (2kg) spools - But is there someone who can make a 3d model for a good M300 spoolholder which i can put on my M200?

The first step towards getting one made would be to attach a few pictures of the spool and some dimensions of the inner hole. Not many if any of the people in these forums owns an M300 just yet. so the 2KG spools are not a common thing.

i did this one, could work ? http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1305748

I designed an external spool holder.

You have to print every part twice. You need to put a ball bearing in the hole of the Seitenarm and an alu (or wood) axle with 10mm diameter. This works much more better then the hinged spool holder.

I have made a filament holder that the M300 spool fits, I also had to extend the filament tube holder as the diameter of the M300 spool interfered with the ribbon cable clips, so the spool has to be spaced out a little further than a M200 spool.

Nice but about the holder i think is a bad choise print it in vertical :).

thats realy great!! does it works also fine with a m200 spool? or will i change the spool holder for the m200 spool :)?

It does fit the M200 spools as well as the M300 spools. you may want to change the filament tube holder when using M200 spools, both parts are easy to change so I would change both when I changed between M200 and M300 spools.

Thanks.. I did have a problem with the original M200 filament holder that came with my first M200 that was printed vertically and it broke the first time I used it.

I did print this vertically on purpose as I had tried adding some oval tubes in the high stress area to add some strength and I wanted to test if they worked, so far they have. If you scan through on the pause function in Z-suit you can see them.3686

By putting empty oval tubes inside your part it ends up stronger than letting z-suite do the maximum infill that's correct? I like this
