Love your machine, but wanting some other colours.
I wanted to know the likelihood of Red and Dark Blue/Navy Blue… I want to make another purchase of materials, but I was hoping for other colours. I don’t want to just order 3 spools of black. I’m likely to buy at least two spools of each colour.
If you want spools of ABS filaments in various colors, you can check out 3d2print savers pack. It’s not just a plain spool of black ABS filament; you can have it in a bundle. I think the best one for you is the ABS Saver-Pack – Super Rainbow 12 spools–here’s the link: http://www.3d2print.net/shop/product/abs-saver-pack-rainbow/

Seems nice, the free shipping that is, but how good do they work with the printer?
The above quote make me think zortrax ABS is better, some parts I plan to print when I get my printer need about half spool of plastic.
If they fail midpoint that would be a disaster and if they are dimension inaccurate same thing.
At a minimum (beyond quality, which I believe is high) the Z-ABS is higher-temp, and with “regular” ABS you will have a much harder time (if not impossible) removing raft/support. Once temp control is implemented in the firmware/software, then there are a lot of sources of good quality ABS (lower temp).

Actually I’ve been amazed at how well 3rd-party ABS prints on the Zortrax, even at 260C. The dragon candlestick, the singing dragon and Cerberus’ rock that i’ve posted here were all printed in 3rd-party ABS that’s designed for more like 220-230C. Support removal has not been difficult at all.
