Ongoing Delamination and Raft liftup

Continuation from http://forum.zortrax.com/index.php?/topic/3271-delamination-and-raft-liftup/

Folks,  Really hoping you can help

I have a new ribbon cable, a new print bed (with fresh ABS juice), new enclosure, and fresh HIPS (having always used ABS)

...

And despite this, after nearly 3 months of troubleshooting and swapping in new parts/lower shrinkage filaments, I cannot seem to have a proper model print.

..

Any thoughts?

Increasing the bed temparature to 95C helped for me to reduce liftup of the raft.

Did you perform a platform calibration? Try to calibrate with no filament into the hotend (unload material before calibration), then remove any filament residue from the nozzle tip.

Moreover, remove ABS juice from the small areas where the nozzle tip touches the print bed during calibration.

Hi Eed,

How did you increase the bed temp.

did not know it's possible

External materials can be used to modify some values from a basic profile proposed by Zortrax :

for example, the temperature of the heating plate can be modified from the "abs based filament" profile.

Thanks Folks

I did calibrate (with a clean tip), however it was done loaded

ABS Juice is not applied to the contact pads

Re-Calibrated unloaded and the points came up different than before!

Applied ABS Juice with 2x concentration

So Far, it is printing flawlessly!   Thanks Folks

Upping the platform temp for Z-Filaments via External Filaments setting - creative idea

Yes I've also used non-zortrax hips and realised that raising the bed temperature helps. Also for PLA (50 C)

First of all, make sure that there are no draughts in the room where the printer works (shut the windows if they're open, turn off the A/C if it's on).

Secondly, levelling of the platform is crucial.

Also, I would apply a layer of ABS-juice onto the plate. Just to get better adhesion.
