Print Stops at Random Times

This one is strange.

It's already happened 3 times in two different printers (twice in one, once on the other).

Everything is going fine, then all of a sudden the printer decides to stop mid-print, the platform lowers all the way down and the extruder stays parked where it is (doesn't return to corner).

Nothing else happens, no errors, printed the same Zcode afterwords with no problem.

See photos below to see what it looks like. Today it happened again and I was lucky enough to be in the room when it did and I saw that, while it was printing normally, about 82% of the way through, the platform just suddenly started lowering and the extruder stayed where it is.

Wandering if this has happened to anyone else and if anyone knows what indeed might be the cause.. 

It happens right now I would say less than 1% of the time, but afraid of it getting worse and also very frustrating when it happens.

The same happened to me and some other users.

Contact support and they will probably deliver you new LCD board which is source of the problem.

I got it in less than a week.

Yes, mine had the same thing. Newer version of LCD board fixed it. There are several topics talking about that.

Search for midprint stops.

A temporary fix seems to be to remove the cover and put the LCD on a piece of paper (not contacting the housing of the printer)

Contact support and they will send you a new LCD .
