Printing problem

I need advise with a problem that occured last night, the print is of a Tower section for a building. I came in this mornig to find a birds nest of extruded material, full delaminated layers of print and a hot end covered in burning material. Has anyone got any ideas as to why this could have happened?1892

Looks like it. Did you check the spool Sirius?

If yes and it's allright, then please write to our customer support team regarding this issue: http://support.zortrax.com/application-form/

Tangled filament would stop extrusion completely, there's no way that it could be self healing (if the twist breaks the filament, extrusion stops shortly after that again).

Either it was a shifted Axis that caused the printer to print in the air, or it was a temporary extrusion stop that printed in the air after some time when extrusion was restored.

This causes the to filament stack up somewhere on the toolpath and the nozzle wiping it away from time to time (with much burned filament at the nozzle and heater block).

I had that too one time. Was sleeeping, cannot tell exactly what is was.  :)
