PTFE Tubing Sticking Out of Hotend

I was having jams, so I checked my hotend and I saw that the PTFE tubing is protruding past the metal of the hotend.  Is there anyway to fix this?  I've tried just pushing it in, but it won't budge.

replace it or cut the deformed edge with en exalto knife...best choice is to replace it with e new one though.

Do you mean replace the whole hotend, or just what's in my photo, or just the PTFE tubing?

getting that part from the photo would be kinda hard, so replacing whole hotend seems to be best option. You may try replacing PTFE tube itself but I cant guarantee that will work flawless.

just the PTFE tube it is a 3mm outer 2mm inner diameter and you can get it out with a plier.

Nice racket you guys got going, so I guess getting a Nema 17 motor out of warranty would mean I have to buy a whole new Zortrax because I cant get the part from you guys!

@cwmain: there are other options at play now, PM for more details.

Try tequipment, they have a ton of replacement parts

http://www.tequipment.net/Zortrax/Motor-+-Bearing/  - I think the motor maybe the same as the xyz motors but do not know for a fact, $50

http://www.tequipment.net/Zortrax/XYZ-Motor-Set/- Full set, $100

Oh lol :)

I am pretty sure that NightShift buys spare parts at Octave Systems.

Octave is good too.

Thanks for the offer NS.  This is my third v2 hotend that has busted.  My v1 is still going strong.  I think I will try to replace the tubing and will buy the hotend that shall not be named.

You mean the Z-Temp Hotend, with the replaceable PTFE Tubing and nozzle which reduces burn marks on prints, not to mention cheaper than the standard nozzle......

(not really, I just never break my printer like you guys)

so far I have only ever had to replace the Ribbon cable once, everything else I fixed my self. I can swap back to the original parts at any time when using aftermarket stuff.

For now my Zortrax is finishing up a 1 day 40 minute print of chain mail (armor) here is a sneak peek.

I recreated an old model that was only distributed in an UP3 format. I will upload it to Thingiverse and make a poor attempt to credit the original creator (I met him in San Jose last year). My version can be scaled to any linkage size without issue, but more on that in another post later.
