Quick and easy side covers and clips

Hi Guys,

I've been wanting to have side covers on my zortrax.

Here is how I made mine on the go:

-- 3x - 11"x14" plexiglass ($2.50 ea. home-depot)

-- Dremel, with cutting disk. (you can use a carbide tipped knife first if needed)

-- To get an outline, I used a marker from the inside of the zortrax, but you should overlay it to make sure you dont under cut (measure twice, cut once =p)

-- If you snap the plexiglass by the cuts, be careful of flying pieces, wear a glass!!

-- Little sanding wheel on dremel to smooth out edges, or any sanding method.

-- 12x - clips drawn and printed .29mm layer, high speed, full infill, no support and auto fan  (file attached)

-- the clip is .65 inches in height, and the slots I made on the cover was .75" x .5" so the clip can be put on.

-- the clips have a nice hold so you dont have to worry about sliding.

I roughed up the surface of the plexiglass to get a glow effect when the lights are off in the room =]

Mine is not pretty, and has some lube that got on it o.o

I just went commando to have something up quick, but im sure you guys can make it cleaner.

ignore the crack if you see it :D

Hope yall have a good day!

Here is a picture of my unfinished project:
