Raft peeling away from print platform

I have two M200 Plus printers. Both purchased used and tested when received. Both printed the same test part perfectly.

I just started on a new project. There are five parts and all parts are printed flat. Thickness of all parts is 3mm. Two of the parts have been printed on one of the printers with no peeling of the raft. The other three parts were being printed on the other printer, until stopped due to the corners of the raft peeling away from the build platform.

I did remove the build platform from the printer and removed the build plate for cleaning. Placed the build platform back in the printer and calibrated it. No change. The build plate is new, by the way. On the other printer the build plate is the original one that came with the printer.

The material I’m using is ABS from Creality. Both printers have the same ABS material loaded. The temperature settings for both sets of parts are identical so both printers should print the same.

I attempted to print the three parts again after increasing the temperature of the build platform. It seemed to help a little but there was still some peeling. The other two parts, on the other printer, printed perfectly, no peeling of the raft.

So, why am I experiencing raft peeling on one printer and not the other? Same material. Same temperature settings, very similar parts.

Update: I think I found the problem. Printer no. 1 is the problem printer. Printer no. 2 prints perfectly. So, I had this crazy idea, take the hotbed, with the perforated plates on it, from printer no. 2 and swap it with printer no. 1. I started another test print on printer no. 1 and so far I see no peeling. I’m guessing it’s the hotbed that may be faulty. It may not be heating up as it should or the heating is not uniform. If the print turns out perfect on printer no. 1, then I can assume that the hotbed needs replacing.

Update: The print came out very good, but with a little peeling on one corner. From this I can conclude that the hotbed is not working as it should. I guess I should see about purchasing another. Hopefully this will be the fix.

Check the parts store and order a new perforated proforma that will allow you to achieve consistent quality.

It’s best to replace the complete set, including the PCB heating plate and the perforated plate.

I ordered a heatbed and a perforated plate on the 17th. I’m still waiting for a confirmation that my order has been dispatched. Is it possible Zortrax is out of stock of these, and other, items? It is considered courteous to inform your paying customers if an order will be delayed.
I’ve grown very weary of Zortrax and I’m beginning to think they’re on the road of going bust.
