Resin sensor in new Inkspire 2 not working?

Hi-

I am new to resin printing, but I have been doing M200 printing for years. I just did a couple small prints (1.5 hours and 7.5 hours), and they were successful, but I was very concerned with the filling of the resin vat at the start of each print. As the vat is filling, it did not seem like it would stop filling automatically, even though the black sensor bar was installed in the vat. I manually lifted the sensor, and then the resin pump stopped. I did this for both prints. The amount of resin showed above the 300ml line.

Is it supposed to fill this high? The resin needs for both prints was 1ml and 4ml. What is the normal fill amount for a resin print? Below is the height of resin in my vat.

Hello,

could you let me know what resin did you use and whether you ran the material weight sensor calibration, as well as the resin level sensor one? Also, is the firmware up-to-date (2.6.12)?

Best regards,
Karolina

Hi Karolina,

Thanks for your reply. I wrote my question without fully calibrating the machine. I have run the resin level sensor calibration, and I think my problem is gone.

Best regards,
Victor

Hello Victor,

I am really glad to hear you have solved the problem. Could you just let me know what resin do you use?

Best regards,
Karolina

Hi Karolina,

I started with the BASF ST 80 which came with the printer. I am now trying the Loctite Pro410 from Zortrax. Do you know if the Loctite Pro410 which has Phrozen branding is the same resin? It seems to be available in the United States, but the Zortrax Loctite Pro410 does not seem to be available.

Best regards,
Victor
