Set decimal angle in Z-suite

Hello,

I am trying to set a Z axis rotation of my stl file of 193.726 degrees. Can you tell me how to accomplish this as it seems to only allow me to rotate in whole degrees. This is needed in order to print a surface parallel to the print bed.

Thank you, Dhatw.

Can't you adjust that In the design software??

Yes, and that is what I had to do. But I did not create the original cad file so I had to re-create the entire model, not fun. If I could have manipulated it to any angle it would have saved me 3 hours of work.

Rotate in Netfabb, export the rotated stl. Z-Suite will import in your desired angle.

you can also use meshmixer to align any surface to any axis just by scribbling with your mouse on it

Sure, but Netfabb allows keyboard input what I think is what he needs / wants.

Thanks all for your great suggestions. I will try one the next time I encounter the same issue. However, for the Zortrax team, I don't see any reason that we should not be able to have a decimal angle. Having to use more than one piece of software to achieve what in my mind anyways is a simple thing is a bit frustrating.

There's no simple things in software development. You ask for decimals, another one might ask for stl fix support, I might ask for design capabilities inside the Z suite...many of us have some nice ideas but an idea to be a final product needs time and effort so its not a big deal to do some things in other softwares that allready supports the features we need and send the final object to the Z suite to do its part  ;)
