Spool changing during printing

Hello all,

I am new to 3d printing and zortrax printer both. I have recently (6days only) bought the M200plus printer.

So far I have taken 4 prints.

My question is regarding Spool changing. When I try to change the spool during printing I get stuck at the material loading

  1. Unload the balance material - ok

  2. While loading the new spool the machine hangs with a display of following message “material loading. Please wait”.

Almost half an hour I waited with patience and then switched off the machine entirely.

This happens 3 to 4 times.

Please suggest if any step is missing or incorrect.

Hello,

Is the sprocket of the extruder motor spinning when the display is stuck at the loading stage?

Which version of firmware do you used? Does it happen every time you try to load the material?

Hi Marcin R,

Thanks for your response. I checked the sprocket as per your instruction and realised that it was not running, end stop signal was intermittently on.

It was a mistake from my side. I had kept the guide tube hanging near endstop and not inserted in properly.

When fitted properly, all the steps could be executed well.

Just to confirm, I cut the filament in between during printing and could reload the same successfully.
