Steps in vase

Hi all,

I printed this vase last night at 50% size. In general it turned out quite nice. It does have a lot of white bits near the top at the back which I am sure I can clean up. However it has a few steps at varying levels that go all the way around and are even. They are not in the St but they do show in Z suite which I totally missed. The other thing is this is a shelled model and the top walls are just over a mm thick but when I removed the raft the whole bottom came with it.

Did I do anything wrong, could it be a bug or maybe the stl.

I used latest f/w and s/W and 0.19 with 60% fan and no support.

Did I do anything wrong, could it be a bug or maybe the stl.

I updated the link and it works for me.

I just sliced the vase at 75% size and you can see even more lines than before. The strange thing is you can actually see right through those lines horizontally when previewing in Z suite.

I had that issue before with another file. Do any errors come up if you check the STL in Netfabb?

Actually I did check it with Netfab and it found errors. I didn’t know stls from Thingiverse could have errors :slight_smile: seriously.

Yeah, some do! People can upload any STL they want. I downloaded a Star Wars Star Destroyer from there that looked good in the preview but it was full of errors!
