I am getting this problem sometimes on the M 200 , printing with Z ABS , 0.19 layer height any ideas what causes it please? I am in a very hot climate. Please zoom in to see it !
I noticed this today with my black Z-ABS spool that make bubble during "loading filament" step, maybe that Z-ABS absorb local moisture?
But I have not this surface finish on my printed part.
Could be heating issue or simply faulty filament spool.
- Try different spool and print same model.
- Clean / Replace nozzle
- Try different material
The black Z ABS doesn't seem to print as well as the other colors.
I only run it on the machine I have fitted with a Z Temp, at minus 10 degC, which helps reduce that effect.
Cleaning the nozzle more often with the wire provided in the kit (with hot nozzle) also helps a bit with black.
I had the same with Black Ultrat at 140 microns. as more of the reel got used i noticed a reduction of this. maybe black is more susceptible to moister?
also changing your nozzle can make a difference.
i opened a new spool of grey Z-ABS put it straight on the printer ,cleaned the nozzle and checked with the 0.4 wire but exactly the same result printing the same part and others . anymore ideas please ?
Is it the seam (i.e. is the seam on random and this is what we are seeing) ?

No the seam would be generally in the same area, it is not spread out as much as that even on random setting. It might be over heating or a bad nozzle. It is not filament related.

Try to print one part only at a time to check if the result is the same.
Do not set SEAM RANDOM, and use Z-suite 1.1.0 or 0.0.9.6
