What is Z-Suite for ?

Hi,

I haven't any 3D printer yet. I am looking everywhere to get some informations before buying one.

The less I can say, for now, is that Zortrax M200 appears to be a good choice for me.

So, could anyone tell me what is Z-Suite for ?

Could I use it to draw models to print ?

Is it just a tool to prepare model files and tell printer what to do with ?

Thanks

Yes. It is the "slicer" that converts the 3D models you import into code that the printer uses to extrude the layers. It has a number of settings for layer thickness, infill density, support structures, etc. You save the resulting "zcode" file to an SD card which you transfer to the printer. In the next firmware I think you will be able to send it directly to the printer via wifi.

Thank you for explanations, I understand why Z-Suite is determinant for printed quality.

Hope WIFI will soon be supported.
