It seems that in my computer here at work that runs Windows XP SP3, the new Z-Suite 1.0 can't open any file. The "add" button just does nothing, while the older 0.0.9.6 version was working flawlessy. Also direcly doubleclicking an stl file from windows explorer brings up the Z-Suite app but no model is shown inside it.

Moreover the rendering window doesen't update itself anymore when restoring from desktop or coming back from another application. To show the rendered area again I have to drag inside the window.
Update: I arrived at home and installed Z-Suite 1.0 on my Windows 7 64bit PC. I have exactly the same behaviour as with the Windows XP one. I can't open any file because the "add" or "+" icon does nothing. I noticed that I could import a file by dragging it into the Z-Suite window, but then it seems that is the whole left toolbar that globally doesen't work. I can't click on PRINT or any other feature as well. I downloaded the package again, so it isn't a problem with a corrupted installer.
The only things I share between the home and work PC are the video card (the same Geforce GT730 2GB DDR3) and the language of the OS that is italian. No errors though from both the install procedure and when running the application, it just doesen't respond to clicks on the commands. I can instead select the printer version from the bottom right cascading menu.
I have the same problem with Windows XB SP 3, can not open a file, the “ADD Button” and all other have no function. The Version 0.0.9.6 works on 2 Computers without problems. The “MAC” Version V1.0 runs on my MAC very nice.
I guess not resolved in 1.0.1? Downloaded, installed after removing 1.0, behaves slightly differently: dll error dialog box now comes up first before the empty app window, rather than over it. But same error I think.
I can't add this to bug tracker because I don't get far enough to load any sort of stl file.
I would install the latest and then see if that doesn't work, then uninstall Zsuite and then reinstall net frameworks and then Zsuite and see if that fixes it.
Sounds like a computer error not really zsuite error. May be a virus of some sort. Did you make sure all the processes or other programs were closed and not running?

You need to update your graphics drivers. Your OpenGL version is too old, 2.0 is minimum required.
OK, this is VMware running on a MacBook pro. OpenGL graphics acceleration was turned off, if I turn it on (OpenGL 2.1 is emulated) it works. So the lesson is if you are running it in VMWare, graphics acceleration must be turned on.
Why would I do such a thing? I was just trying to compare the Windows and Mac version for performance and feature differences. They look about the same now (were somewhat different before).
