Z-SUITE 2.8.0 released

Hi, everyone.

New Z-SUITE 2.8.0 has just been released :)

New firmware for M200, M300, M200 Plus and M300 Plus is also available.

See the full changelog for Z-SUITE below below:

  • It is now possible to disable/enable printing the raft on LPD devices,

  • It is now possible to change first layer settings on LPD devices,

  • Z-ULTRAT is now available in the list of materials for M300,

  • The program now highlights all overhangs that require support structures,

  • Improves the program’s GUI - toolboxes are now shown in the bar on the left,

  • Control grips for “Move”, “Resize” and “Rotate” tools can be now disabled in the “Preferences” panel,

  • The Split tool is now available for Inkspire,

  • It is now possible to reset changes in the “Print Settings” step and “Rotate” menu (“Reset” button added),

  • Improves the “Rotation Optimization” tool,

  • Adds new Z-HIPS and Z-ULTRAT profiles for 0.3 and 0.6 mm nozzles (M200 Plus),

  • Improves printing quality of Z-PCABS (M200 Plus),

  • Improves the default “Exposure time” values for resins: Basic Grey, Basic White/Ivory and Black Pro on Inkspire,

  • Fixes minor bugs.

This is the first major Z-SUITE release in 2019. We will continue to develop our software to improve speed and efficiency of solutions dedicated for our next gen products.

Future Z-SUITE releases won’t include updates to the profiles of the newest dedicated filaments for Zortrax M200 and M300 3D printers. But we will continue to provide bug fixes and stability improvements along with changes in both External and Dedicated Materials sections to ensure seamless user experience for the M200 and M300.

I encourage you to read more about changes in this version here: https://zortrax.com/blog/printing-without-rafts-and-redesigned-interface-in-z-suite-2-8-0/.

As always, you can download the Z-SUITE in our Support Center (https://support.zortrax.com/downloads/) or via auto-updater.

You're saying new firmware is available, but when I try to auto-update our M300+ it says the latest firmware is already on there, but it clearly isn't as Z-suite is generating errors when trying to communicate with the printer.

Would be nice if you'd make sure the autoupdate facility on the printer would recognize the new update?

Please make sure that you don't have the update.zar2 file of the older version saved on the USB drive.
