Z-SUITE 3.0 BETA

Hi @szdowk,

we still do support Zortrax M200, M300, Inventure and Inkspire printers in terms of technical support, troubleshooting and replacement parts. However, apart from providing fixes for any critical bugs - no further firmware and software updates will be available for these machines.

As for Z-FLEX - it has never been compatible with the M200.

Best regards
Karolina

When printing without raft, i cant find where to change first layer gap - it’s set to something default (In this case 0.48) but cant change it?

Zortrax has pulled off a near impossible feat: made a crappy program worse.

Z-Suite is regressing, difficult though that is from such a low base: they have removed support for 0.6mm nozzles and limited layer heights to 0.2 mm. What possessed you to release this to the public? Did somebody bump their head a little too hard or have a stroke? Sympathies if that’s the case, but please steer them gently but firmly away from important decisions.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? You lock us into your crappy slicer, one that’s always several generations behind everything else, then this new version actually REMOVES functionality? In what universe does that make sense? Not this one, you gigantic dingleberries.

Cura adding monotonic surfaces (a huge improvement in print quality) and lightning support (Google it, it’s innovative): they are actively developing their software while the “experts” at Zortrax are going backwards AND THE JOKE IS ON US BECAUSE WE ARE LOCKED IN!

“You can now specify number of outer layers”, ahem, cough…: Einsteins, we’ve been able to do that with every other slicer for 10+ years. Do your software programmers have a thing called… drumroll… “The Internet”? Have you ever engaged in “competitive analysis”? It’s where you look at what others are doing in the hope of avoiding their mistakes and improving on what they’ve done. It’s not a guaranteed cure for myopia but it might help a little.

Beta releases are supposed to field-test new and innovative features… so what is this? … It’s a joke and nobody is laughing.

Hello @Ibbanez,

we still do support Zortrax M200 in terms of technical support, troubleshooting and replacement parts. However, apart from providing fixes for any critical bugs - no further firmware and software updates will be available for these machines.

As for 0.2 mm layer thickness - this will not be the only one. We will be gradually adding new functions and options.

As for the profiles - they are saved in AppData folder (C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Zortrax\Profiles) and definitely should not be deleted during the installation, our specialists did make sure about this. Please, check the folder and confirm that the profiles are still there.

Then its my last zortrax, if I cannot trust company that I bought printer from them and after 2 years its unsupported.
Closed fw with No updates what a shame for Such a great design of machine.
Mabe its time to open it for other slicers if you dont want to support your own machine any more?

Profiles recorvered uff but still many bad words are in my mind for the overall situation.

Incredibly disappointed that the M200, M300, M300 dual, inventure, and inkspire is not supported in 3.0.

A warning should at least be presented when upgrading to 3.0 BETA that these would not be supproted.

such a decision is unacceptable. Take 40% of your machines out of consideration for a software that introduces “novelties” already present for years on other slicers.

I bought a new Inventure on the zortrax store two months ago, I now understand why it was on sale…

I have also had an M200 for several years, I now know that my two Zortrax printers will not have updates, and that it will be necessary to use an old version of zsuite (future compatibility with OS upgrades, windows 11, macOS 13? ) outrageous commercial practice…
My future printer will not be a Zortrax

A major policy decision by Zortrax which will affect thousands of loyal customers. No “official” announcement, users just left to find out about lack of ongoing software support for M200, M300, Inventure and Inkspire printers by trial and error. Zortrax only come clean when questioned by customers. Not the best way to reward a loyal customer base.

I see this program regression as yet another flaw in the zortrax system. It is inconceivable to remove printers from the slicer because they are considered “obsolete and old”. Who has recently purchased an inventure finds himself with a software crossed out, when it will no longer be compatible with the MacOS or Windows version? we stay with our asses on the ground, literally though. I hope that there will be a rethinking and that, even if no longer updated, they remain within ZSuite. My thinking strongly believe that it is common to that of all users. By doing so, Zortrax loses credibility, seriousness and customers

I understand this is beta and features and printer support will be added. I would like to express my hope that the 0.09 and 0.14 layer thickness for ABS and other materials will be continued as this is released. The newer printers do not seem to support these thicknesses, but the M200 Plus does, and it would be a step backwards not to support the higher quality available through the thinner layers.

I have m200 and the 3.0 is not usable. I need the old version back now!
Thanks,

Hi @j30243l,

you just need to uninstall Z-SUITE 3.0 via Add?Remove Programs (Settings -> Control Panel) and install 2.26.0 again.

my Zortrax M200 is not Includet , so is the 3.0 Beta not for me.

I also have this issue - very inconvenient as need to print high quality parts today!! when is this looking to be fixed? or can I revert to an earlier version?

So disappointed that the upgrade is worse than the current version (2.26) its really bad commercial practice and has cost me money through client-based projects that I have been unable to deliver due to worse layer thicknesses, less control and my M200plus not recognising files created over the last few days in the previous version.
There was no warning prior to ‘downgrading’ from 2.26 to 3.0 for what would be lost - and evidently many disgruntled users. I recommend Zortrax consider this user sentiment a shot across the bows before making this kind of error in the future.
I have now uninstalled 3.0, reinstalled 2.26 and recommend other users do the same.
@Zortrax - if you want to learn through your beta program… don’t significantly piss off the people relying on your product, and that you rely on for feedback.
Please fix the issues so the new version is better than the old, and they let us all know it is safe to reinstall.

Dear users,

Zortrax M200 and M300 3D printers were discontinued in 2018. As soon as Z-SUITE 2.8.0 was released (February 2019) - we did inform you, both on the group and the forum that future Z-SUITE releases will not provide new functionalities for these devices as well as changes in their printing profiles. We do continue providing fixes for critical bugs, stability improvements, as well as provide support for the above-mentioned models in terms of technical issues or spare parts. Therefore, no firmware and software updates will be available for these machines. However, we have passed your feedback to our specialist as your opinion is valuable for us. We will try to think of a solution that might satisfy the needs of our users. Also, please note that Z-SUITE 3.0 is still in the beta phase, hence it will be consistently developed with new options, also for other Zortrax printers.

So has the Zortrax Inventure printer also now been officially “discontinued” and will therefore not be supported in new versions of Z-Suite?

The Inventure is not supported by this beta 3, but was still on sale on your store less than two months ago… nothing has been announced about it…

The lack of new features is not a problem for me. That is not reassuring is knowing what will happen when 2.26 will not be supported, for example, by the next versions of MacOs or Windows?
