I placed an order for some parts for the two M200 Plus printers I have. Zortrax was taking too long to even dispatch the order so I decided to cancel my order, given that I found some of the parts on a resellers site, outside the UK. This reseller was able to ship once payment was received. I received the parts last week.
So far I’ve not received my refund and they’ve stopped responding to my emails. It looks like I’m out over £400.00.
I purchased one of the first M200 back in 2014. I liked the machine, but I eventually sold it since I stopped using it. Later I purchased a used M300 (classic), which I still have. Later the two M200 Plus. Given that it appears Zortrax is going under, I’m troubled that I may never see my £400.00 and will no longer be able to order replacement parts. This will make my Zortrax 3D printers useless.
I’m thinking of selling off the printers and looking towards Bambu Labs. Where I work we have a 1XC, and it’s very impressive. It cost less than a new M200 Plus. Now that the new H2D has been released, the cost of this unit makes the M300 Dual obsolete. Given that Zortrax cannot compete with the latest generation of 3D printers, there’s no point in sticking with, or buying from, Zortrax. Shame, I really did like Zortrax, but their financial difficulties, with no indication in improved printers, and at prices that puts Zortrax out of the market, I see no hope for this company.
Goodbye Zortrax
Hey, thanks for your message. Zortrax has a lot of orders at the moment. I have a request – please write about this matter to the following email: marcin.nowotka@zortrax.com. As for other designs, I won’t comment on that here.
