Zortrax M200+ not turning on and LED on the PSU, motherboard and adapter are flashing

Hello,

I have a Zortrax M200 plus, and it won’t turn on. I checked the fuse box and it is fine. I opened the bottom lid and tryed turning it on. I see multiples LED flashing. The one on the PSU labeled LED1, two on the motherboard labelled 3V and 5V and one on the USB board named D1. Other than that nothing is showing on the screen and no fan are spinning. Does anyone have a solution to this kind of problem ? Is my motherboard or PSU cooked ?

Thanks and have a nice day.

Hello @lbvp

Let me clarify - does your printer turn on, but there is nothing on the screen, or is it completely dead?

Hello, thanks for your response,

The printer doesn’t turn on at all, only the led on the motherboard and psu are flashing.

Could you provide a video recording, or at least a description of which leds are flashing and in what way they do?

Hi, yes here is a video of the problem :

@DamianZortrax do you have any ideas if I can get this printer back on and running ?

Thanks

Hey, can you unscrew the power supply and check its voltage? To me, it looks like a working overcurrent or overvoltage protection. Check if there is a short circuit in the system between the ground and the VBUS lines. (It’s best to use a multimeter in continuity mode – the classic zero-bazzer setting.)

  1. Unscrew all power lines from the power supply.
  2. Measure the voltage levels on the power supply and check if they are stable under load, e.g., by connecting a 12V/24V fan (I don’t remember the exact ranges).
  3. Check if there is a short circuit between the GND line and the 3.3V and 5V lines.
  4. Disconnect one power channel; as far as I remember, the power supply has 2 channels, and see if the printer starts. If it does but gives an error, it means you have a failed fault.

Let me know if you need further adjustments!
